Ellen is an Alaska Native Indian. Her mother is full blooded Tsimshian and her father was half Tlingit, both from the Southeastern Peninsula of Alaska. She thinks every woman on both sides of the family were all very talented. She hopes to pay tribute to them in a tiny way.
Ellen loves being crafty and creative and keeping busy outside of work. She really enjoys creating things that are not only nice looking, but are functional.
She has tried and enjoyed many different types of crafts, but always stayed with an old friend crochet! Her fondest memories are of watching both of her grandmothers creating so many beautiful things as she grew up. They both have given her so much inspiration.
